Ele – clarinet concerto

A new concerto Ele – Five gestic scenes by Lotta Wennäkoski for clarinet and string orchestra. World premiere was in 2023 with the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra and Dima Slobodeniouk, cond. The Swedish premieres coming up in February 2025 with the Jönköping Sinfonietta and the Musica Vitae String Orchestra.

Clarinet quintets by composer Outi Tarkiainen
Two significant chamber works available for performances. The Seasons of Love, quintet for clarinet and string quartet (commissioned by the Kuhmo Festival) and Sensory Flashbacks, quintet for clarinet, piano and string trio (commissioned by Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Our Festival and Ensemble Temporum). The Seasons of Love also available as a version for clarinet and string orcestra (premiered in 2024 with Kymi Sinfonietta and Lapland Chamber Orchestra).
SOLITUDE (2017)
Solo performance
Solo clarinet works by Berio, Donatoni, Messiaen, Outi Tarkiainen and Steve Reich turn into a full size contemporary dance performance. Co-producer: Helsinki Festival. Solitude is also available as a concert version with live-electronics. Original music pieces available as an album Songs of Solitude (Alba).

Harlekin / Der klaine Harlekin

A fully choregraphed solo performance for a dancing clarinetist. Original composition and choreography by Stockhausen (1975). The full length version is Harlekin (duration 45 minutes). Der kleine Harlekin (duration 10 minutes) is a virtuosic, dancing burst of the same musical material. The full Harlekin was performed for the first time at Rauma Festivo 2021. Der kleine Harlekin has been performed in several festivals since 2015.
